- Monthly...
- Check for ice accumulation
- Every six months...
- Tighten loose electrical connections
- Look for unusual fan blade patterns
- Apply motor lubricant
- Inspect defrost heaters
- Clear drain pan and check for blockages
- Wipe down evaporator coil
- Every six months...
- Tighten loose electrical connections
- Check electrical components for wear and tear
- Make sure control system is operating
- Keep the oil level between 1/3 and 2/3 of the sight glass
- Make sure defrost controls are functioning
- Check the refrigerant line insulation for wear and tear
- Look for signs of wear and tear on hose lines
- Replace any lost valve caps or unit covers
- Every six months...
- Clean and wash the condenser coil
- Make sure condenser fans are operating correctly
- Check refrigerant levels regularly
- Look for oil seepage
- Inspect piping for chafing or stress
- Test leak detectors for proper function
